Ucebi promotes Year of European Churches Responding to Migration

ROME, 25TH February 2010 - The Conference of European Churches (CEC), an organization composed of the major part of Protestant and Orthodox churches in Eastern and Western Europe, has proclaimed 2010 the Year of European Churches Responding to Migration. The last Assembly of the Federation of Evangelical Churches (FCEI) dedicated a session to the kick-off of this initiative, and also our Executive Committee, in its first meeting of the year, has formally accepted the proposal.

A praying people. A week with Korean Protestants

Rome 15th March, 2010 For a Protestant Christian coming from a country like Italy where Protestantism is largely unknown for the majority of the population, where Christianity means Catholicism, where religious journalists are Vatican experts and there is no alternative to Catholic religious education in the schools, a trip to South Korea proves to be an  uplifting and encouraging experience.

I’ll tell you a Rom story

Moncalieri (TURIN) 2nd February, 2009 A couple of years ago (16th Mat 2008), the Unità newspaper published a letter written by Don Ciotti entitled “I apologize”. The letter, which began “dear Madam” was very touching and was about the dismantling of a Rom campsite in Ponticelli (Naples).
