ROME, 25TH February 2010 - The Conference of European Churches (CEC), an organization composed of the major part of Protestant and Orthodox churches in Eastern and Western Europe, has proclaimed 2010 the Year of European Churches Responding to Migration. The last Assembly of the Federation of Evangelical Churches (FCEI) dedicated a session to the kick-off of this initiative, and also our Executive Committee, in its first meeting of the year, has formally accepted the proposal.
HARARE, February the 2nd 2010 - I was safely wrapped in a napkin of ignorance all these years and buried in the ground. I knew from various Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Health and Child Welfare reports that there were over a million orphans in Zimbabwe and that one in every eight children is an orphan. It never meant anything to me.
